Earn your nursing degree from a school with an NCLEX-RN exam pass rate of 100%. With a rigorous, comprehensive curriculum and experienced, devoted faculty, TROY’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing program provides the exceptional preparation you need to gain licensure as a registered nurse after you graduate.

Your courses will prepare you to work in your field of interest by training you in a broad range of nursing fields, from community health to surgery. You’ll also learn to perform well in complex situations that require self-direction, such as intensive, critical or psychiatric care.

Leading-Edge Nursing Courses Designed for Your Schedule

The TROY Associate of Science in Nursing is a five-semester ASN program with in-person courses on the Montgomery Campus. In 2022, TROY expanded course offerings to include nighttime ASN courses, providing more flexibility for working adults in the Montgomery area.

As a nursing student, you’ll spend a lot of time in our dedicated nursing labs at Bartlett Hall and in the School of Nursing building. You’ll also engage in hands-on learning opportunities during clinical rotations at nearby hospitals and trauma centers. Through all of these experiences, you’ll learn to effectively and safely perform nursing skills, such as wound care dressing change, urinary catheter insertion, nasogastric tube insertion, hygiene, vital signs, head-to-toe assessment, IV insertion, central line dressing change, tracheostomy care and medication administration.

Faculty Profile: Dr. Shelley Davis

Dr. Shelley Davis is an Associate Professor and the Department Chair at TROY’s Sorrell College of Business. She joined the Sorrell College faculty in August 2015 and was named Department Chair in 2020. A former forensic chemist with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), Dr. Davis earned a bachelor’s in chemistry at Georgia Institute of Technology, an M.B.A. at Kennesaw State University and a Ph.D. in management from Auburn University.

Dr. Xiaoli Huan

Faculty Profile: Dr. Xiaoli Huan

Dr. Xiaoli Huan has a Ph.D. in Scientific Computing from the University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg. She has worked at NASA Mississippi Stennis Space Center and the High-Performance Computing and Visualization Lab at USM. Her research interests include computer vision, machine learning, business information technology and technology in higher education.

Dr. Nikki Hilburn is an Assistant Professor in the TROY School of Nursing. Her clinical focuses include family medicine, nursing education, and critical and emergency care. She has been published several times and received numerous awards from the National Institute of Health. Her research interests include teaching and learning, critical care/trauma, cardiology, management of cardiology disorders/diseases, acute care and family medicine.
